During Fusion Energy Week, General Artomics an engaging talk with E. William DeShazer, a seasoned aerospace engineer turned fusion researcher, as he shares his personal journey and professional insights in "Fusion from an Aerospace Perspective."

With a career spanning two decades — from propulsion engineering at GE Aircraft Engines and Gulfstream Aerospace to health physics and now a PhD track at Georgia Tech — DeShazer will explore:

  • His decision to change careers mid-life
  • What drew him to fusion research
  • The overlaps and differences between the fields of aerospace and fusion
  • How skills in mechanical and aerospace engineering can contribute to fusion energy innovation
