On Thursday, May 9th, the team at the DIII-D National Fusion Facility will celebrate DIII-D's First Plasma Shot of 2024 as the machine returns to plasma operations. This internal celebration will be held in conjunction with Fusion Energy Week and will feature the inaugural DIII-D Carnival with various fusion and tokamak themed games and snacks. Prizes will be awarded.
All DIII-D team members are invited to attend and should reference internal announcements for details.
After successfully completing an 8-month upgrade period, let’s celebrate the return of plasmas to DIII-D!
